The NOHFC is an agency of the Ontario government. As such, it will observe the rules traditionally followed during an election period in Ontario and only conduct business that is consistent with those rules.  The election period commenced when the Chief Electoral Officer issued the writ of election on January 29, 2025 and can be expected to continue until sometime after the swearing-in of a returning or new government.  The election is scheduled for February 27, 2025.
